The admission process for Kannur University 2026 is conducted through an online Centralized Admission Process (CAP) -Admissions to UG/PG programs in the University Teaching Departments/Centres are based on the Online Centralized Allotment Process (CAP); however, B.P.Ed., M.P.Ed., and M.Ed. are not included in CAP, and hence, the institute offers direct admission to these programs.
The university offers a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral programs in fields such as science, law, management, education, and commerce. On the other hand, the Kannur University admission for Government/ aided / self-financing affiliated colleges is under the Choice-Based Credit and Semester (CBCS) system. The University offers UG degree, PG degree, and Diploma courses with specialization in streams like Science, Law, Education, Management, etc. The upper age limit for Kannur University admission into UG degree courses is 23 years and 25 years for SC/ ST contenders.

Step 1: Visit the Official Website
Check the Kannur University Official Website to reach the online application for your chosen programs.
Step 2: Fill out the Application Form
Visit the official admission portal of Kunnur University, and choose your desired UG Admissions/ PG Admissions. Click on Apply Now or the login option under the selected admission category.
Carefully enter your personal information, academic details, and contact details in the admission form, Kannur University. Make sure all the submitted documents are authentic and readable.
Step 3: Pay the Registration Fee
Make the online registration fee payment according to your category:
Candidates can apply online @kannuruniversity.ac.in till November 18, 2025, with an application fee of INR 700 by SBI Epay.
Step 4: Wait for the Allotment Activities
After applying, check the official site regularly for the allotment of seats. Admission to UG programs at Kannur University is based on the merit of the candidate in the qualifying examination. But the University accepts the result of the KEAM exam for admission to BTech programs. Admission to PG programs is based solely on the Entrance Test conducted by the University. However, admission to MTech is done based on the GATE score. Admission to the MBA Program is based on the score of KMAT/CAT/CMAT and Group Discussion and Interview.
Step 5: Pay Admission Fee
Once the seat is allotted to you, pay the admission fee within the given period to reserve the seat for yourself.
Step 6: Go through the Departmental Requirements
Certain courses, like the Integrated MSc or MBA, will have an entrance test or an interview process. Follow the department notifications carefully.

In case of candidates who passed their qualifying exam from any Boards/ Institutes/ Governments (aside from the BOARD OF HIGHER SECONDARY EDUCATION, Kerala, VHSE Kerala, THSE Kerala, NIOS, Kerala Literacy Mission), an original Recognition Certificate from the Kannur University must be provided to meet eligibility for the programme.
