The NMIMS Online is part of SVKM's NMIMS (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies) is a Deemed-to-be University. The university was founded in 1981 in Mumbai as a management institute. It was granted deemed to be university status in 2003 and the online division was started in 1994.
The NMIMS Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) has expanded its offerings in 2026. It has UGC recognition with Category I status and has been further re-accredited by NAAC with A+ grade. The university received approvals from AICTE and DEB for the online programmes.
