The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is organising an internship programme for all nationalities, including Indian students. This internship opportunity is a global placement for 190 countries and territories, where you can apply for roles at the headquarters, regional offices and country offices. The aspirants must be 18 years or above, with good academic records. You must be a fresh or recent graduate (2 years maximum). You must be fluent in English, French or Spanish, other than your native Indian language. Medical insurance is mandatory to apply for.
The internship program is fully funded with a monthly stipend. The following are the age and academic criteria for students to apply.
Minimum Age: At least 18 years old.
Strong academic performance, often supported by university transcripts.
Proficiency in at least one of UNICEF’s working languages: English, French, or Spanish.
Candidates must not have immediate relatives (parents or siblings) working at UNICEF.
Candidates must provide proof of valid medical insurance for the duration of the internship.
If you are a working professional who has graduated within 2 years, you can apply. If it has been more than two years since you graduated and you are not currently enrolled in a new degree (like a Master's or PhD), you are not eligible for the internship program.
The working professionals can apply for the regular vacancies at UNICEF through the regular staff positions.
