The University Grants Commission (UGC) has just announced the January–February 2025–26 session intake for Online and Open & Distance Learning (ODL) programs. This second round of admissions means students can secure spots in UGC-approved online degree courses. You don't need to wait for the usual July–August period.
The UGC introduced these twice-yearly admission windows to offer students greater flexibility and to boost access to higher education nationwide.
Already, a number of top universities are starting to accept applications for their online and distance learning options. Here are the important details for the admissions process:

It's important to note that all of these programs must be recognised and approved by UGC-DEB.
How can you apply for UG - PG Admissions?
If you're a student interested in the January–February 2025–26 online admission cycle, then applying is hassle-free. Here’s how you can enrol:
Step 1: You need to click on the “Apply Now” button on the official website.
Step 2: Then fill in the enquiry form with some basic details like your name, email address, phone number, and the program you're interested in.
Step 3: Once you submit the form, someone from the counselling team will reach out to you. They’ll provide all the details about the program, discuss eligibility. They also let you know what documents you’ll need, and guide you through the entire enrolment process.
