The Territorial Army (TA) released TA Officer Notification 2026 for civilian candidates seeking a commission as Officers for the 2026 intake. According to the official notification, there are 12 vacancies, with 11 posts reserved for Men and 1 for Women.
Candidates can submit their applications online through the official TA portal starting April 20, 2026. The registration window will remain open until May 19, 2026. Aspiring officers can visit www.jointerritorialarmy.gov.in to complete their registration and pay the application fee of INR 500.

To apply for a commission as a Territorial Army Officer, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Nationality: Must be a citizen of India (both Men and Women).
Age Limit: 18 to 42 years as of the last date of application (19 May 2026).
Academic qualification: A Graduate degree from any recognised university.
Employment Status: Must be gainfully employed in a civilian profession (Government, Private, or Self-Employed).
Physical Standards: Must be physically and medically fit according to Indian Army standards
Note: Serving members of the Regular Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, GREF, or Paramilitary forces are not eligible.
How to join the Territorial Army as an Officer: The selection process will begin with a Computer-Based Test (CBT) scheduled for July 12, 2026. Shortlisted candidates will then proceed to the Preliminary Interview Board (PIB), followed by the rigorous Service Selection Board (SSB) interview and a final medical examination.
