The Staff Selection Commission declared the SSC JE Final Result 2025-26 on July 9, 2026. The commission has provisionally recommended 1,731 candidates for appointments to coveted Junior Engineer roles across various central government ministries and departments.
The final selection merit list was prepared through a newly introduced First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA). This round evaluated cumulative scores from both Paper I and Paper II. It also utilised a dynamic Sliding Mechanism designed to fill every single departmental vacancy.
Out of 15,607 candidates who cleared the Tier 1 stage, 14,062 candidates attended the Paper II exam. From this pool, 11,052 eligible candidates submitted their mandatory department and post choices.
Total Recommended Candidates: 1,731 individuals provisionally selected.
Selection Criteria: Cumulative marks of Paper I and Paper II, alongside option-cum-preferences.
Paper II Cut-off Criteria: Minimum 30% (90 marks) for UR, 25% (75 marks) for OBC/EWS, and 20% (60 marks) for SC/ST/PwBD.
Tie-Breaking Process: Determined by Paper II marks, date of birth, seniority, and alphabetical order of names.
