SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Registration Deadline Extended

The State Bank of India (SBI) has extended the online registration deadline for its massive Apprentice Recruitment drive for the financial year 2026-27. Candidates looking to secure one of the 7,150 available training positions across India now have until June 15, 2026, to complete their online applications. 

According to the official notification (Advertisement No: CRPD/APPR/2026-27/07), the registration portal,sbi.co.in/web/careers, was originally scheduled to close on June 8, 2026.

Revised Schedule and Critical Dates

Candidates are advised to take note of the newly updated timeline to avoid last-minute technical glitches on the official portal:

• Online Application Closing Date: June 15, 2026

• Last Date for Application Fee Payment: June 15, 2026

• Deadline to Print Completed Application: June 30, 2026

• Tentative Online Examination Date: July 2026

Eligibility and Payout Details

The recruitment drive aims to engage young graduates for a rigorous one-year training program under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university. The age criteria require applicants to be between 20 and 28 years old as of April 30, 2026, with standard age relaxations applicable for reserved categories.

Selected apprentices will receive a fixed monthly stipend of INR 15,000 for the duration of the engagement. The bank has explicitly clarified that this apprenticeship program does not constitute regular employment or guarantee a permanent job within SBI.

Eligible candidates can apply by navigating to the "Current Openings" tab on the official SBI careers website. The application fee is INR 300 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates, while SC, ST, and PwBD applicants are completely exempted from payment.
