The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Punjab, is set to announce the PSTET Result 2026 by April 7, 2026. The release date is April 5, 2026, from the official website pstet2025.org. The Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test scorecard will also be activated on the portal.
Thousands of candidates who appeared for the exam on March 15, 2026, are awaiting their qualifying status for Paper 1 (Primary) and Paper 2 (Upper Primary).
After releasing, the candidates can follow these steps to download the scorecard.
Visit the official website: pstet2025.org.
Click on the link labelled "PSTET 2026 Result/Scorecard".
Enter your Registration Number and Password.
View your subject-wise marks and download the PDF for future teacher recruitment processes.
Qualifying Marks & Cut-off as per the category-wise are:-
General Category: 90 marks (60%)
SC/ST/OBC/PH: 82 marks (55%)
Note: The PSTET certificate now comes with lifetime validity, making this a crucial milestone for aspiring teachers in Punjab.
After receiving your scorecard, you must participate in separate recruitment cycles. Here is how the Teacher Recruitment Process & Timeline works:
Step 1: Release of Recruitment Notification: The Education Recruitment Board typically releases notifications for specific posts like Master Cadre (Classes 6-10) or ETT (Elementary Teacher Training, Classes 1-5) shortly after PSTET results are finalised.
Step 2: Recruitment Entrance Exam: For most government positions, you must pass a subject-specific written exam (e.g., Master Cadre Exam) in addition to your PSTET qualification.
Step 3: Document Scrutiny (Verification): Successful candidates are called for document verification at designated venues.
Step 4: Station Choice & Allotment: Once the merit list is finalised, candidates are invited to choose their preferred school.
