To qualify for the PSSSB Veterinary positions, candidates must satisfy specific age and academic requirements as of 1 January 2026. The academic measurements are designed to ensure candidates have both the technical expertise and the local language proficiency required for the role:
Educational Qualification: Applicants must have completed 10+2 with a background in Physics, Chemistry, and either Biology or Mathematics. Additionally, a 2-year Diploma in Veterinary Science and Animal Health Technology (or an equivalent qualification) from a recognised university or institution is mandatory.
Language Proficiency: It is essential for candidates to have passed Punjabi at the Matriculation (10th grade) level or its equivalent to ensure effective communication within the department.
Age Limit: The standard age bracket is 18 to 37 years. However, age relaxations are provided for reserved categories, including SC, BC, and Government employees, as per the latest Punjab Government guidelines.
There are 150 vacancies (including 51 reserved for women) for the post of Veterinary Inspector (Group C). The pay scale is INR 29,200 (Level-5).
