The National Testing Agency (NTA) has activated the online registration portal, neet.nta.nic.in
for candidates requiring a scribe for the upcoming National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) re-examination.
Eligible Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) must submit their assistants' details before the fast-approaching deadline.
Portal Opening: June 9, 2026
Submission Deadline: June 12, 2026 (until 11:50 PM IST)
NEET UG Re-Exam Date: June 21, 2026
Eligibility and Compensatory Benefits
Candidates with a benchmark disability of 40% or more under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016, are eligible to utilise this facility. Furthermore, all eligible candidates who opt for a scribe or are otherwise entitled will receive 1 hour of additional compensatory time, extending their total exam duration.
Aspirants must upload their details through the official channel by following these steps:
Visit Website: Navigate to the official NTA website at neet.nta.nic.in.
Account Login: Enter your unique application number and password.
Select Link: Click on the 'Register Scribe Details' tab, visible on eligible candidate dashboards.
Upload Documents: Enter the required particulars and upload valid identification documents, educational certificates, and medical proofs.
Final Review: Save and submit. Verify that the updated details appear on your application confirmation page.
In tandem with the portal opening, the NTA has also released the advanced examination city intimation slips. Candidates can download these slips immediately to finalise their travel arrangements. The agency noted that official admit cards will be issued separately closer to the June 21 exam date.
