NIT Rourkela Convocation: 2,033 Degrees Conferred with 25?male Graduates

National Institute of Technology, Rourkela (NIT Rourkela) will host its 24th Convocation on September 12, 2026, conferring degrees upon a total of 2,033 graduands. While the event celebrates significant academic milestones, institutional data highlights a continuing gender imbalance, as female students make up only 25% of the degree recipients this year.

NIT Rourkela Convocation: Academic Breakdown and Gender Statistics

The graduating cohort features 508 female students and 1,525 male students across various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs.

Notable Dignitaries and Distinguished Alumni Awards

The convocation ceremony will be presided over by S.N. Subrahmanyan, Chairman of the Board of Governors at NIT Rourkela. Prof. Abhay Karandikar, a member of NITI Aayog, will attend the event as the Chief Guest to deliver the convocation address.
