The National Testing Agency (NTA) plans to start accepting online applications for JEE Main 2026 in October 2025. The test will be conducted in two parts: January 2026 and April 2026.
On September 29, 2025, the NTA issued a notice advising students to ensure that their Aadhaar card, UDID card (if they have a disability), and category certificates (EWS/ SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL) are up-to-date before submitting the JEE Main 2026 application. This allows them to avoid problems or rejections when applying.
Students should double-check that their Aadhaar card contains accurate information, such as their name, birthday (the same as on their Class 10 certificate), photo, address, and father's name.
Students with disabilities should check that their UDID certificates are valid and up to date. In addition, students in reserved categories must ensure that their category certificates are up to date and follow the rules.
For those planning to take the JEE Main 2026, it's a good idea to check the official NTA website (nta.ac.in) and the JEE Main portal (jeemain.nta.nic.in) often. These are where you'll find the newest info, instructions, and announcements about the test.
In 2025, the JEE Main was given in two tries: one in January (January 22–30) and another in April (April 2–8). The registration period began on January 2, last year, and students were then informed of where they would take the test.
Students should keep track of these dates and any changes to ensure that they do not miss the deadline for signing up or any important preparation steps for the JEE Main 2026.
