Core Selection & Admission Criteria

  • Academic Requirements: Most programmes require candidates to have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in Class 12. 

  • Minimum Marks: You generally need a minimum of 60% marks in Class 10 and Class 12 for General/OBC categories, and 55% for SC/ST/PwD categories. Some specific courses (like IIM Sambalpur) require a 70% threshold.  

  • Age Limit: Candidates must typically not be above 20 years of age at the time of admission.  

  • Interview Stage: After shortlisting based on JEE scores, most IIMs conduct a mandatory Personal Interview (PI) round to evaluate communication skills and analytical aptitude before final selection.
