Voting Schedule

DUSU voting will take place in two shifts: 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM for day students, and 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM for evening students.

Female Candidates After 20 Years

Women are running for DUSU President for the first time in twenty years, which is a step that encourages gender parity and inclusivity in college politics.

Safety Steps

Safety has been increased for the DUSU Election in 2025. This follows complaints about damage to public spaces and a Delhi High Court order to tally votes after the area is cleaned. More than 600 police officers are on the job this year with 160 of them wearing body cameras. Additional measures include drone surveillance, CCTV cameras, student walking routes, and modified traffic patterns close to North Campus.

NSUI Candidate: Joslyn Nandita Choudhary (PG student, Buddhist Studies)

She is focusing on cheap housing, campus security, and menstrual leave for female students.

SFI-AISA Candidate: Anjali (Indraprastha College for Women)

She wants programs for gender awareness, reversal of fee increases, and a better system for handling complaints.

Voter Increase

The voter base has grown by almost 50,000 students this year because fourth-year undergraduates are included under DU’s new school setup.

Student Concerns

Even though DUSU elections are often seen as a path to national politics, most students care about immediate things like cost-effective housing, secure campuses, better transportation, and policies that include everyone.
