The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the exam on December 18, 2025. It covers five subjects. There is no age restriction for applicants seeking Assistant Professor positions or admission to PhD programs.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is closing the registration process today for the CSIR UGC NET (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test) 2025. You must pay the exam fee online by 11:50 p.m. on October 25 if you wish to apply.
The CSIR UGC NET December 2025 exam covers five subjects:
* Chemical Sciences
* Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean, and Planetary Sciences
* Life Sciences
* Mathematical Sciences
* Physical Sciences
This exam determines who receives the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor positions, and PhD program admissions. You'll take the test on a computer, and it lasts three hours. There are two sessions available, one from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and another from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Mark your calendars for December 18, 2025, the exam date.
