The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), in partnership with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), has introduced 19 free online technology courses for students in Classes 8 to 12.
These courses, covering AI, coding, and cybersecurity, are available on the National Digital University (NDU) platform to foster digital literacy. Students can read the official notification and find the course list on the CBSE Academic Website.
No Cost: All 19 courses are offered completely free of charge.
Flexible Learning: Courses are self-paced, allowing students to balance them with regular schoolwork.
Diverse Curriculum: Options range from short, 90-minute introductory sessions to in-depth modules exceeding 20 hours.
The curriculum, designed to meet industry demands, includes:
AI & Coding: Generative AI, Yuva AI for All, and Python Programming (available in English/Hindi).
Tech & Design: Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing (AWS), IoT, and 3D Printing.
Semiconductors: ChipCraft, Design, and SoC Sign-off.
Students can choose from 19 courses related to the following main areas based on their preference:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI
Python Programming (Available in both Hindi and English)
Cyber Security and Cloud Computing (AWS DevSecOps)
Web Designing and Publishing
Course on Computer Concepts (CCC)
3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing
Semiconductor and VLSI Design (ChipCraft)
Students can enrol via the official NIELIT Digital University (NDU) portal by registering for their chosen, free technology course.
This initiative is part of the AI Capacity Building Program, with CBSE encouraging all affiliated schools to promote these opportunities to students.
