CA Intermediate September 2026 Exam: Dates, Guidelines & Rules

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is conducting the CA Intermediate September 2026 examinations from September 1 to September 12, 2026. The exams follow an offline, pen-and-paper format, with all papers held in a single afternoon shift from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

The six papers are structurally divided into Group I and Group II:

• Paper 1 (Advanced Accounting): September 1, 2026 | 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

• Paper 2 (Corporate and Other Laws): September 3, 2026 | 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

• Paper 3 (Taxation): September 6, 2026 | 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

• Group II

• Paper 4 (Cost and Management Accounting): September 8, 2026 | 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

• Paper 5 (Auditing and Ethics): September 10, 2026 | 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Mandatory Guidelines & Exam Day Instructions

• Essential Documents: Carry a physical copy of the CA Intermediate Admit Card and a valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Passport).

• Reporting Time: Arrive at the designated exam centre by 1:00 PM to complete mandatory security and verification checks smoothly.

• Stationery & Permitted Items: Bring your own black ink pens, pencils, and rulers. Transparent water bottles are permitted, but sharing stationery is strictly prohibited.

• Leaving the Hall: Candidates are not permitted to exit the examination hall before the formal conclusion of the paper at 5:00 PM.
