Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU) Kanpur also has a placement cell, which provides placements for the students in well-known companies. The campus placement interviews are conducted by the university. The placement cell also provides training courses, soft skill training, and mock interviews so that the students are placement-ready.
Most of the undergraduate and postgraduate students were placed in 2025. The undergraduate salary package varied from Rs. 3 to 4.5 Lakhs per year, and for postgraduates, up to Rs. 6 Lakhs per year. Right from its inception, sustained efforts by the university have provided students with quality career prospects in the sectors of IT, banking, consultancy, and core engineering.
