Does Anna University accept JEE Mains? No. Anna University does not accept JEE Mains scores for its B.E./B/tech programs. Admissions are conducted through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu. TNEA uses the Class 12 marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, which are scaled to a total of 200 (Mathematics 100, Physics 50, Chemistry 50). Eligibility: Candidates must have completed Class 12 with an aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ST) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Preference is given to natives of Tamil Nadu, although candidates from other states are eligible, provided they studied from the 8th to the 12th grade in Tamil Nadu.  

TNEA Registration: Applications must be submitted at tneaonline.org from May to June 2025, along with a fee of 500 for general and 250 for SC/ST. Payment of the registration fee, certificate upload, and verification will be done online.  

Merit List: Evaluation of Class 12 normalised marks will be conducted, and a rank list will be published on June 27, 2025 (tentative).  

Counselling: Colleges issue and report the filled choices for seats online, followed by seat allotment in July and reporting in October.
