Rising global demand, local changes, and the need for better education are changing higher education, which leads to the growth of more international campuses.
US universities similar to the Illinois Institute of Technology and the University of Utah are opening full campuses in India. These new campuses' services will offer the same degree and faculty as in the US, but at a lower cost, about 25 – 40% lower than what scholars pay abroad.
The Qatar Education City model has formerly shown how successful this setup can be. It hosts top US universities while allowing scholars to stay near home.
For a scholar like 17- time-old Aanya Sharma from Gurugram, this is a game-changer. She had pictured studying computer science at a top US institution. But now, just two metro stops down, she may get the same quality education without the $60,000 education or the hassle of a scholar visa.
