The National Medical Commission (NMC) has finalised the syllabus for NEET UG 2026. However, NMC has confirmed that the syllabus has minor changes from the previous year (NEET 2025) curriculum.
The exam syllabus covers 79 chapters from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, strictly based on NCERT Class 11 and 12 topics. Biology carries the highest weightage, followed by Chemistry and Physics. The important details are listed below:
Total Chapters: 79 across Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
Biology: 10 units, 90 questions, 50% weightage
Chemistry: 20 units, 45 questions, 25% weightage
Physics: 20 units, 45 questions, 25% weightage
Syllabus Based On: NCERT Class 11 & 12
