The National Testing Agency (NTA) has  released the complete UGC NET June 2026 Exam Date and subject-wise schedule. Candidates who registered for the National Eligibility Test can now access the full datesheet on the official portal at ugcnet.nta.nic.in

According to the official notification issued by the NTA, the prestigious national-level exam will be conducted entirely in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from June 22 to June 30, 2026.

NTA UGC NET Schedule 2026: Shift Timings & Pattern

The NTA UGC NET schedule 2026 outlines a multi-day exam structure split into two distinct daily shifts across testing centers nationwide.

  • Shift 1 (Morning): 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM

  • Shift 2 (Afternoon): 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM

The test spans a total duration of 180 minutes (3 hours). Candidates must tackle both Paper 1 (General Aptitude) and Paper 2 (Subject-specific) in a single, continuous sitting without any break. There is no negative marking scheme.

This year, NTA is administering the eligibility test for a total of 87 subjects, which now includes two newly introduced courses: Forestry and Statistics.

UGC NET June 2026 City Slip and Admit Card Status

The NTA has already initiated the rollout of the Advance City Intimation Slip, allowing candidates to verify their assigned exam city.

The NTA UGC NET admit card download link is scheduled to go live on June 15, 2026. Candidates will need their application number and date of birth to download the formal hall ticket, which contains the exact venue address and reporting times.
