Candidates who want to apply for the UGC NET June 2026 examination have been given a few serious directions by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is clearly stated that candidates need to be extremely cautious when submitting the application form.
Candidates can not edit the application form after submitting the application form. The NTA has clearly issued warnings against applying using more than one form, against changing subjects, and also against entering incorrect personal details.
The UGC NET exam is a national-level exam conducted to award the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), determine eligibility for Assistant Professor, and gain admission to a PhD. Candidates are suggested to fill out the application carefully.
One Application Only for Each Candidate
According to the NTA, a candidate submitting multiple application forms goes against the rules of the examination. Presently, this is what will happen if it is revealed that a candidate sent more than one form:
Cancellation: The candidate’s applications may be disqualified en masse without any further communication.
Withholding of Results: The National Testing Agency (NTA) can decide not to release the results of a candidate who used any of the multiple application forms to sit for the exam, or even cancel his/her candidature at any time.
Debarment: The candidate may not be allowed to sit for the UGC NET exam again if he is found using unfair means in any case.
In case, after submitting a form, you realise that there is a mistake, do not fill it out again. Rather:
Wait for the Correction Window: After the registration is closed, NTA allows for editing through their "Correction Window", which lasts for 2–3 days and is available for all details except the first-level identifiers like email ID or mobile number.
Contact Helpdesk: For any critical mistakes (like duplicate payments or wrong Aadhaar linkage), get in touch with NTA helpdesk on 011-40759000 or e-mail at ugcnet@nta. ac. in right away.
