Students looking for a JEE Main 2027 Registration guide can officially complete their submission without an Aadhaar card. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed that alternate government IDs are fully accepted for the ongoing JEE Main 2027 Registration cycle.
Alternate Identity Selection: Applicants can choose PAN Card, Passport, or Driving License from the dropdown menu instead of Aadhaar.
Document Verification: You must upload a scanned PDF copy (50 KB to 300 KB) of your chosen non-Aadhaar ID proof.
Name & DOB Matching: The identity proof details must align perfectly with your Class 10 board certificate.
Live Photo Rule: A new live webcam photo capture is required and must match your uploaded passport-size photograph.
Important Deadlines: The normal fee submission window closes on 22 November 2026, followed by a late registration window (with a ?500 penalty) from 23 to 26 November 2026.
Initiate Sign-Up: Go to the Official NTA JEE Main Website and click the "Sign Up" or registration link.
Complete Initial OTP Verification: Enter your active mobile number and email ID to finish the OTP verification step.
Select Alternate Identity Type: Instead of Aadhaar, select one of the other valid identity options from the dropdown menu, such as:
PAN Card
Passport (highly recommended for NRI/OCI/Foreign candidates)
Driving License
Enter Identity Details: Input the specific identification number, your name, date of birth, and gender exactly as they appear on that chosen identity document.
Upload Identity Proof: Because you are opting out of Aadhaar/DigiLocker automatic authentication, you will be required to scan and upload a clear copy of your chosen government ID proof during the document upload stage
