TG LAWCET 2026 Registration Opens; Check For Exam Details

The registration for TG LAWCET 2026 began on February 10, 2026. The Telangana Law Common Entrance Test is the state-level entrance exam for admission into 3-year and 5-year LL.B. regular courses in Telangana law colleges. The official website is the TG LAWCET Portal to register and for other information. 

Osmania University conducts the exam on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE). The application deadline is April 1, 2026, without a late fee, while the exam date is  May 18, 2026.

TG LAWCET 2026: Exam Details

TG LAWCET exam is Computer-Based (CBT), where the students need to complete 120 objective-type questions within 90 minutes. The students will be tested for 3 sections:

General Knowledge and Mental Ability, Current Affairs, Aptitude for the Study of Law. There is no negative marking.

The Qualifying Marks are 35% (42 out of 120) for General/OBC, and there is no minimum mark boundary for SC/ST.

To be eligible for the LL.B. program, specific academic requirements are:

• For the 3 Year LL.B. program, applicants should have completed graduation under the 10+2+3 pattern from a recognised university. 

• For the 5 Year LL.B. program, candidates should have completed 10+2 from a recognised board. 

• Generally, a minimum of 45% marks for the General category, 42% for OBC, and 40% for SC/ST candidates is required in the qualifying examination.

To apply for TG LAWCET, candidates must visit the official TG LAWCET portal and pay the application fee through the Application Fee Payment link. After completing the payment, applicants should fill out the online application form using the payment reference ID provided.
