The State Selection Board (SSB), Department of Higher Education, Odisha, invites online applications for the recruitment of 225 Librarians (Group B, Level 9) in various Non-Government Aided Colleges across the state. This major recruitment drive, announced under Advertisement No. 02/2026, aims to strengthen academic infrastructure in 28 districts.

Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level 9 under ORSP Rules 2017, with a monthly salary ranging from approximately INR 35,400 to INR 1,12,400.
Education: Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science (B.Lib.Sc) or equivalent from a recognised university.
Age Limit: 21 to 42 years (as of 01 January 2026). Standard relaxations of 5 years for SC/ST/SEBC/Women and 10 years for PwD apply.
Language: Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak Odia.
The examination will be conducted in five zones: Balasore, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Jeypore, and Sambalpur.
