Eligibility Criteria for 2026-27 

The following are the eligibility requirements for the Scholarship:

  1. Nationality: Indian citizens.

  1. Academics: Minimum 60% marks in 12th standard (class 12) board examinations.

  1. Course of Study: Student currently pursuing an undergraduate degree through the regular, full-time mode from any Indian University or College.

  1. Income: The sum of the gross income of the applicant's family members (i.e., both parents) must be less than 15 Lakhs per year. The scholarship prefers candidates whose family's annual income is less than 2.5 lakhs.

  1. Non-eligibility: Students pursuing second and later years of study are not eligible. Holders of diplomas obtained after class 10, students undertaking degrees through part-time or distance learning modes are not eligible.

Application and Selection Procedure

All candidates must go through a robust and clear selection process that includes several phases:

  1. Online Registration- Log in to the website, https://www.scholarships.reliancefoundation.org/, and fill out your details regarding academics, personality, and finances.

  2. Aptitude Test- It's mandatory for all the candidates to attempt an hour-long (60 mins) aptitude test consisting of 60 objective questions that test Verbal Ability, Numerical Ability and Logical Reasoning.

  3. Shortlisting- Shortlisting of students on the basis of aptitude test marks, class XII marks and household income.

  4. Result- The list of 5000 awarded scholars is usually published a couple of months after the application process ends.
