The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB / RSMSSB) has released the detailed notification for the Rajasthan Common Eligibility Test (CET) 2026 Senior Secondary (12th Level). Aspiring candidates looking to secure state government jobs in Rajasthan can now submit their applications online starting today, 24th June 2026.

According to the official schedule published on the Rajasthan SSO Portal, the registration window will remain active until 23rd July 2026. The offline OMR-based written examinations are scheduled to be conducted across various state centres from 23rd October to 25th October 2026.

Major Rule Changes Implemented for the 2026 Cycle

The RSSB Chairman, Alok Raj, has introduced significant structural reforms for this session to improve the selection standard:

  • Extended Scorecard Validity: The CET scorecard validity has been extended to 3 years, giving successful candidates a longer window to apply for main tier-2 recruitments.

  • Introduction of Negative Marking: A strict 1/3rd negative marking system will now apply to wrong answers to discourage blind guessing.

  • Minimum Passing Cutoff: Candidates must score a minimum of 40% marks (35% for SC/ST and other reserved categories) to clear the eligibility standard.

  • Syllabus Additions: Four new practical, awareness-driven topics have been added to the syllabus: CPR, First Aid, Social Media Addiction, and Drug Abuse.

Eligibility and Application Process

Candidates who have cleared Class 12th (Senior Secondary) or its equivalent from a recognised school board are eligible to apply. The age limit is set between 18 and 40 years as of January 1, 2027, with relaxation rules applicable to reserved categories.

Eligible candidates must log in through the Rajasthan SSO Portal to register using their One-Time Registration (OTR) credentials. The OTR fee is INR 600 for General, Creamy Layer OBC, and MBC categories, and INR 400 for Non-Creamy Layer OBC, MBC, EWS, SC, ST, and PwBD applicants.

This eligibility test serves as the gateway to over 50,000+ expected vacancies across state departments, including coveted positions like Rajasthan Police Constable, Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Assistant, Forester, and Hostel Superintendent.
