The Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2025–2026 notification was officially released on 6 February 2026, inviting online applications from eligible candidates across the state. The registration period for government teaching positions in Punjab has been restricted to a specific time frame for eligible candidates.
The deadline for submitting online application forms is today, February 20, 2026. Candidates who have not yet applied must complete the process through the official website, pstet2025.org
before the portal closes.
Applications for this commenced on 6th February 2026 and will be accepted up to and including the 20th day of February 2026. The PSTET exam will take place on March 15, 2026 and the results are expected on April 2, 2026.
One must pass the PSTET to apply for future teaching positions with the Punjabi government. Candidates will not be considered for state-level teaching positions if they do not pass the eligibility exam.
Candidates who wish to take the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) must complete Class 12 or obtain a graduate degree with a certified teaching credential. It includes D.Ed., D.El.Ed., B.Ed., or B.El.Ed. Candidates who are taking their last exams can apply but they must meet the eligibility requirements when they start working.
The minimum age required is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 37 years as of 1 January 2026. Government regulations will establish norms that will allow reserved categories to enjoy age relaxation.
