The Supreme Court refused to give temporary permission for NEET-UG 2025 counseling to two students who faced power cuts during the exam. These students had requested a retest, but the Madhya Pradesh High Court denied it. The Supreme Court will hear the case again on July 25.
The Supreme Court refused to let Navya Nayak and S. Sai Priya attend NEET UG 2025 counselling. The students claimed a power failure disrupted their exam in Madhya Pradesh. The Madhya Pradesh High Court had earlier dismissed their re-test plea on July 14.
The lawyer representing the students informed the court that NEET UG 2025 counselling had already begun and requested temporary permission for them to take part. The court denied the request and listed the matter for July 25.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the National Testing Agency (NTA), told the Supreme Court that approving a re-test for the two NEET-UG 2025 candidates would affect lakhs of other students who had already taken the exam.
Because of this concern, the bench refused to give any temporary relief and decided to hear the matter later.
