The NEET UG 2026 examination registration for admission to undergraduate courses like MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and BSMS is about to open in early February. However, NTA has not released any official announcement regarding it, but by considering the older pattern and exam dates, it is likely to open in january last or in early February. For all kinds of updates, candidates are advised to visit the official website neet.nta.nic.in and nta.ac.in.
Notification Release is expected in early February 2026. The rest of the updates are given below:
Application Window: Likely to open in the first week of February 2026 and close by the first week of March 2026.
Exam Date: Projected for Sunday, May 3, 2026.
Admit Card: Expected to be available by late April 2026.
Result Declaration: Typically by June 2026.
The NMC has released the final NEET UG 2026 syllabus, which is based on NCERT Class 11 and 12 and outlines the complete exam structure.

Exam Mode: Offline (Pen-and-Paper / OMR-based)
Exam Duration: 3 hours (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM IST)
Question Format: 180 MCQs to be attempted out of 200 questions
Marking Scheme: +4 for correct answer, −1 for incorrect answer
Languages: Available in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, and regional languages
Applicants Must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology, and the minimum age must be 17 years by December 31, 2026. There is no upper age limit. For academic qualification, the Minimum Marks should be 50% in PCB for the General category and 40% for SC/ST/OBC.

The NEET UG 2026 exam occurs only once a year, and there is no age limit to attempt the exam as long as the applicant fulfills the age criteria of the exam.
