The online National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) registration process for 2026 has begun today, 8th February, by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The NEET 2026 application form is now available for all the medical candidates of India on the official website. The students have until 8 March 2026 to submit their applications.

The NTA has announced that the NEET UG 2026 exam will take place in Pen and Paper mode on May 3, 2026. Among other major changes now introduced by NTA for registration procedures are the inclusion of Aadhaar-based eKYC verification and a “Live Photograph” capture to improve the security of the process.

The NEET UG 2026 registration is open on the official NTA website neet.nta.nic.in and nta.ac.in. Candidates must complete the online application form, upload documents (photo, signature, etc.), choose exam city and medium, pay the application fee, and submit before the deadline. Only online applications are accepted
Photos must be recent with a plain white background, and at least 80% of the face visible. NTA now also requires a live photograph capture during registration to match the Aadhaar photo for identity verification. Acceptable formats and sizes are specified on the portal (e.g., JPG files within specified KB limits), and incorrectly uploaded photos can lead to rejection.
Generally, candidates must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English and meet minimum age criteria as per the NTA information bulletin.
