The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) has activated the online application link for its prestigious two-month Internship Programme for the August–September 2026 term. Eligible female candidates must submit their applications through the official portal, MWCD Internship Registration Portal, before the fast-approaching deadline.

Strict Eligibility Criteria

The ministry has set specific demographic guidelines to empower rural and non-metro candidates:

  • Gender & Age: Only women candidates aged between 21 and 40 years can apply.

  • Target Group: Open to students, research scholars, social activists, and teachers.

  • Geographical Restriction: Candidates residing in Tier-1 cities (Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Ahmedabad) are not eligible to apply.

How to Apply Online

  1. Go to the MWCD Internship Registration Portal.

  2. Fill out the registration form with personal and academic details.

  3. Upload required documents, including ID proof, address proof, passport photo, and academic certificates.

  4. Active students must provide institutional proof (admission certificate/bona fide letter).

  5. Review and submit the application form.

Applicants must be current undergraduate, postgraduate, or research students, or affiliated as scholars/researchers with recognised institutions. Eligible individuals also include educators at recognised institutions and women working as social activists with registered NGOs.

Required Institutional Documentation

When submitting your application on the MWCD online portal, the applicant must provide the following valid documents:

  • Highest Academic Degree: An official certificate or marksheet of your highest completed education.

  • Student Enrolment Evidence: A current Admission Certificate, Bonafide Certificate, or official Joining Letter from your college or university.

  • Professional Affiliation Proof: A formal Joining Letter or Association Certificate from your employing school, university, or registered organisation.
