The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) has begun recruiting staff for various forest and prison positions in the state through its application system. The board has declared 1,679 open positions include Forest Guard, Field Guard, Jail Warder and Assistant Jail Superintendent, all of which need to be filled.

Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the MPESB official website by using online application methods. The application submission period will end on March 14 2026. Applicants will also get a short window to make corrections in their forms until March 19, 2026.

The recruitment examination will take place on April 7 2026. Candidates must complete their registration process before the deadline to avoid facing last-minute registration problems. The recruitment drive aims to fill vacancies in important state departments responsible for forest protection and prison administration.

Selection procedure and examination pattern

The selection process is a multistage approach. The selected candidates are first to undergo a written examination, and then those who clear this are called for the PST & PET test. Following that, the shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification and a medical test. 

The written test will be in the objective model form, including 100 multiple-choice questions. The questions will be on general knowledge, general science, Hindi, English and mathematics. Candidates preparing for the test should refer to the complete syllabus and physical fitness parameters as specified in the official notification prior to filling the form.
