The selection process for various posts at Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) will be two-tiered, with an interview round. The results of Tier-1 (a qualifying exam for PRT, PGT, TGT, and most non-teaching positions) will not be considered for the final merit list.
Only candidates who pass Tier 1 will be eligible to sit for Tier 2, which will consist of 60 objective questions (MCQ) and 40 descriptive questions worth 100 points. Each incorrect answer in the MCQ section will result in a negative marking of ¼. Candidates who pass Tier 2 will be invited to an interview with a maximum score of 100.
Tier-2 and interview scores will be weighted 85% and 15%, respectively, in the final merit list. The Tier 2 exam is for positions such as Principal, PRT, TGT, PGT, Stenographer, MTS, and others. The event will take place in various shifts between March 27 and March 31, 2026.
Logging into their candidate login account allows candidates to check the exam city. Candidates are advised to keep checking the websites of KVS, NVS, and CBSE for updates on the exam schedule, hall tickets, and other notifications.
