KEA AO AAO Recruitment 2026: Notification Out for 945 Vacancies

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the recruitment notification for Group-B Agriculture Officer (AO) and Assistant Agriculture Officer (AAO) positions within the Karnataka State Agriculture Department. A total of 945 vacancies are available across the Residual Parent Cadre (RPC) and Kalyana Karnataka (KK) regions. The online registration window opened on May 30, 2026, and eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official KEA portal until June 20, 2026.

The 945 vacancies are distributed based on regional cadres and roles:

Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc. / B.Tech) in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, or allied Farm Sciences from a recognised university.

• Age Limit: Applicants must be between 18 and 45 years of age. Standard government age relaxations apply for reserved categories.

Salary Structure

Selected candidates will receive a competitive salary package under the revised state government pay scales:

• Agriculture Officer: INR 69,250 to INR 1,34,200 per month

• Assistant Agriculture Officer: INR 65,950 to INR 1,24,900 per month

The recruitment will follow a two-tier process:

1. Written Competitive Examination: An objective-type test conducted by KEA focusing on subject-matter expertise and general aptitude.

2. Document Verification: Verification of educational credentials, caste certificates, and domicile proofs.
