The National Testing Agency (NTA) released a notice sharing the expected dates for the 2026 JEE Main exam.
Registration for the 2026 JEE Main opens in October 2025. Session 1 is set for January 2026, and Session 2 will be in April 2026.
If you're planning to use JEE Main to get into a B.E./B. Tech program, you can sign up for one or both sessions.

NTA has also launched jeemain.nta.nic.in as the official JEE Main website. According to the September 29 notice, the JEE Main 2026 exam will keep its twice-yearly schedule.
The exams are scheduled for January 2026 (Session 1) and April 2026 (Session 2). Online registration for JEE Main 2026 will open in October 2025.
The dates for JEE Main 2026 and associated events will be shared on the official website (jeemain.nta.nic.in). The National Testing Agency (NTA) will also publish the JEE Main 2026 information brochure, which will contain details such as exam dates, eligibility criteria, exam format, and syllabus.
The NTA advises candidates to update required documents like Aadhar Card, UDID Card, and Caste Certificate. Students will need to upload these documents during the JEE Main 2026 registration, if needed.
Candidates should check that their documents are valid to prevent problems or application rejection.
