The AFCAT age limit and educational requirements vary across branches, calculated strictly as of July 1, 2027:
Flying Branch: Applicants must be aged between 20 and 24 years (born between July 2, 2003, and July 1, 2007). The mandatory AFCAT education qualification requires a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level, alongside a graduation degree with at least 60% marks. Commercial Pilot License (CPL) holders get an age relaxation of up to 26 years.
Ground Duty (Technical): Candidates aged 20 to 26 years must hold a 4-year engineering degree (B.E./B.Tech) with a minimum of 60% marks, plus 50% marks in Physics and Math at the 10+2 level.
Ground Duty (Non-Technical): This branch accepts graduates from any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks and who fall within the 20 to 26 age bracket.
