IISER Aptitude Test 2026: Application Link is Here For Science Students

The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) conduct this aptitude test   (IAT) for science students who appeared in grade 12 in the academic year 2024, 2025 or 2026.  Aspire candidates can apply for IAT 2026 at iiseradmission.in. The form submission last date is April 13, 2026, and the exam will be held on June 7, 2026 (9:00 AM-12:00 PM IST).

The subjects required for this test are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. Students may opt for any 3 from the above options. Students who wish to take admission in the following subjects are required to have Mathematics as a subject in grade 12.

• IISER Bhopal: 4-year B.Tech and 4-year BS in Economic Sciences.

• IISER Kolkata: 5-year BS-MS in Computational and Data Sciences.

• IISER Tirupati: 4-year BS in Economic and Statistical Sciences

IAT 2026: Educational Qualification and Fees

Candidates must have passed their Class 12  or equivalent examination in 2024 or 2025, or be appearing for it in 2026. The school board must have a clearance certificate from the Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE). 

The minimum aggregate percentage in class 12th, for different categories, is as follows:

• General / OBC / EWS: Minimum 60% aggregate

• SC / ST / PwD: Minimum 55% aggregate

Application fees:

• General / EWS / OBC / OBC-NCL: INR 2,000.

• SC / ST / PwD / KM / Third Gender: INR 1,000.

• Foreign Nationals: INR 12,000 (approx. USD 100)

IAT 2026 is open for:

• Indian Nationals.

• Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO).

• Foreign Nationals (who must provide an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities).
