The IIFT MBA 2026-28 selects aspirants through the CAT exam, which was conducted on 30 November 2025. Now, IIFT released its shortlisting results for MBA 2026-28 programmes on February 3, 2026. To check the results and other updates, aspirants can check the official website official IIFT website.

The successful candidates will participate in the next round of GD and Interview.

IIFT MBA 2026: Steps to Check the Result

Applicants check the official website to get the result PDF.

  1. Visit the official website at iift.ac.in.

  2. Click on the link titled "Result (First Round): MBA 2026-28 programmes" or the "IIFT PI shortlist link 2026".

  3. Log in by entering your IIFT Application Number and registered Date of Birth (DOB) or Email ID.

  4. View your status. Successful candidates will see a "Congratulations!" message indicating they have been shortlisted for the second round. 

IIFT MBA 2026: Selection Criteria And Cut-Off 

The shortlisting process involves the evaluation of entrance scores, experience, and diversity criteria.

  • The first-round shortlist is prepared using CAT 2025 scores, with an additional 5% weightage for work experience and 5% for gender diversity.

  • The sectional cutoffs for CAT 2025 are set at 65 percentile for the General category, 55 percentile for EWS/NC-OBC, and 30 percentile for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

  • The overall composite cutoff for General category candidates is estimated to be in the range of 30-35, as per current admission trends.

Shortlisted candidates must submit the detailed CV form on the admission portal by February 11, 2026.
The GD and PI rounds will be held from March 2026, with the final merit list expected in the last week of April 2026.
