ICAI CA Exam Schedule: September-November 2026

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) notifies the exam schedule for CA Foundation, Intermediate, and Final courses for the September-November 2026 cycle. The details are available on the ICAI New Scheme of Education and Training.  

CA  Dates: September–November 2026  

The test cycle follows the ICAI New Scheme of Education and Training. Below are the specific eligibility requirements, paper formats, and other essential details for each phase. 

1. CA (September 2026)

The Foundation is the entry point for students after Class 12.

• Eligibility:

• Educational: Must have passed or appeared for the Class 12 examination from a recognised board.

• Registration: Must be registered with the Board of Studies (BoS) at least four months before the paper (on or before May 1, 2026).

2. CA Intermediate 

Students can enter this through Direct Entry. 

• Eligibility:

• Route: Must have passed the CA Foundation paper and completed an 8-month study period.

• Direct Entry Route: Open to graduates/postgraduates (Commerce: 55%, Non-commerce: 60%) or those who passed the Intermediate phase of ICSI or ICMAI.

3. CA Final (November 2026)

The Final level represents the professional stage of the CA journey.  

• Eligibility:

• Academic: Must have passed both groups of the CA Intermediate exam.

• Training: Must have completed the practical training (articleship) as per the prescribed period or be in the final 6 months of training.

• Mandatory Modules: Completion of Self-Paced Online Modules (SPOM) (Sets A & B) and the Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (AICITSS) is compulsory before appearing.

The Application fee depends on the level and location of the exam centre.
