Delhi University UG Admissions Update: Over 9,000 Seats Yet to be filled

The application for the Delhi University for undergraduate admissions needs to be submitted by 4:59 PM on August 10, 2025. You can send it through the university portal with a non-refundable fee of Rs 1,000.

Those students who have not yet registered for admission in DU still have a chance to apply. According to the list which is released by the university admission branch, more than 9,000 seats still need to be filled.

The university's mid-entry window will open on August 8. It will open to give students a second chance to apply for their desired UG course through the Common Seat Allocation (CSAS).

Only those candidates can get a chance to correct their subject mapping who were rejected during Round 1 and Round 2. They were rejected due to wrong subject mapping, failure to meet program-specific eligibility or invalid documents.

Moreover, those candidates who did not receive any seat offer till Round 2 can edit their choices from 5 PM on August 8, 2025. The third round seat will be allocated based on the candidates' data which is available by 5 PM on August 10.

As a result, the minimum marks and ranks needed for the third round may be different from previous rounds. And the university will not consider any complaints regarding these changes.

The administrator wants to fill the seats with eligible candidates during the mid-entry window. Now out of 71,624 undergraduate seats, 68,208 have been filled and 35,889 students have confirmed their allotted seats.

The vacancies will continue in programs for Science and BCom at off-campus colleges as well as in the BCom and BCom (Hons) courses at Zakir Husain College, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College and Shyam Lal College.

The third round of seat allocation will be announced next week when the mid-entry phase ends. This round will have regular admissions as well as the first placements for the performance-based course. These courses are Music, Bachelor of Fine Arts, and Physical Education. It will also cover admissions for students under the ward quota.
