Delhi Sarvodaya Vidyalayas Admissions Are Open for Grade 1; Check Eligibility

The government schools, Sarvodaya Vidyalayas, Delhi, Open application window for admission in Nursery (Balvatika-1), KG and Grade 1. The admissions are taking place for the academic session 2026-27. The admission forms are available from 2nd March 2026 to March 16, 2026.

The application process for Delhi Sarvodaya Vidyalayas (Government Schools) is not digital for entry-level classes (Nursery, KG, and Class 1). It is an offline, school-based process. The official website is edudel.nic.in.

Delhi Sarvodaya Vidyalayas Admissions: Important Dates 

Eligibility and Age Criteria

Admissions are open exclusively to permanent residents of Delhi. Age is calculated as of March 31, 2026: 

• Nursery (Balvatika-1): 3 to 4 years (Born between April 1, 2022, and March 31, 2023).

• KG: 4 to 5 years (Born between April 1, 2021, and March 31, 2022).

• Class 1: 5 to 6 years (Born between April 1, 2020, and March 31, 2021).

Note: School heads may grant up to 30 days of age relaxation in special cases.

Required Documents

Parents must drop filled forms with copies of these documents into the school drop boxes: 

• Date of Birth Proof: MCD/local body certificate, Anganwadi record, or hospital register.

• Delhi Residence Proof: Ration Card, Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, or utility bills (Electricity/Water/MTNL).

• Photographs: One passport-size photo of the child.

• Category Proof: Caste or disability certificate (if applicable).
