The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) will close the online e-counselling registration and choice-filling window for its postgraduate programs on June 7, 2026. Candidates who qualified for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-PG) 2026 must complete their registration on the official portal to secure admission for the 2026–27 academic session.
The centralized e-counselling process determines allocations for six Master of Arts (M.A.) programs and four core PG Diploma courses across all regional IIMC campuses.
Aspirants must track the following official schedule to avoid missing deadlines:
June 6 -7, 2026: Choice locking period opens.
June 7, 2026: Last date for online registration and choice filling [1].
June 9, 2026: Declaration of Round 1 seat allotment results.
June 9 -14, 2026: Document verification, seat acceptance fee payment, and willingness submission (Freeze/Float).
June 16, 2026: Declaration of Round 2 seat allotment results.
June 23, 2026: Declaration of Round 3 seat allotment results.
Eligible candidates can complete their choice filling by following these steps:
Visit the Website: Go to the official portal at iimc.admissions.nic.in. .
Log In: Use your CUET (PG) 2026 application number and password.
Fill Choices: Select your preferred courses and campus combinations in order of priority.
Lock Choices: Lock your final choices before the June 7 deadline.
Pay Fee: Submit the required registration fee to complete the process.
Candidates applying for the M.A. programs (including New Media, Strategic Communication, and Media Business) must hold a recognized Bachelor's degree with at least 55% marks. There is no upper age limit for M.A. courses.
For the PG Diploma programs (English Journalism, Hindi Journalism, Advertising & Public Relations, and Radio & Television Journalism), admission relies on the CUET PG COQP17 paper code. General category candidates must be under 25 years of age, with standard age relaxations applicable for SC, ST, OBC, and PwD categories.
Candidates allotted a seat must pay a non-refundable seat acceptance fee of INR 20,000 online to confirm their choice. Final-year students lacking graduation certificates must upload an undertaking promising submission by September 30, 2026.
