The Centre for Brain Research (CBR) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) is inviting applications for its CBRAIN Internship 2026. The internship aimed at nurturing the next generation of data scientists and researchers. The program offers students a unique opportunity to work on large-scale human ageing and neurological disease data.
Prospective interns must apply through the official CBR website by submitting their academic credentials. The internship duration is 3 months, and the final selection announcement is expected in early April 2026. The internship is a full-time, in-person program held at the IISc Bangalore campus, and the application window is open till 23 March 2026. There is no late fee application provision for the same.
Selected candidates will receive a competitive monthly stipend based on their current academic level:
Postgraduate Students: INR 25,000 per month.
Undergraduate Students: INR 20,000 per month.
The internship is open to final-year students (UG or PG ) from Indian institutions. The domains are Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related quantitative fields. Candidates are expected to have a solid grasp of Python or R and a keen interest in applying AI/ML to biological data.
