Admission Open: NIT Raipur M.Tech. in AI and ML Programs Launched for Non-GATE Candidates

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur has opened alternative admission pathways for its NIT Raipur M.Tech. in AI and ML program, allowing graduates to secure a seat without a GATE score. 

The initiative aims to meet the rising industrial demand for artificial intelligence experts by offering flexible learning options.

Candidates looking to join the NIT Raipur M.Tech. in AI and ML can apply through two pathways:

• Online M.Tech (Executive) Track: Designed for working professionals, this 2-year online program features live weekend classes taught by NIT faculty. 

• Eligibility: Candidates must hold a B.E. / B.Tech / M.Sc. / MCA or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD categories).

• Selection Criteria: Admission is granted through an institutional online written exam and profile verification, completely skipping the GATE requirement.

• Format: A 2-year, 100% online curriculum featuring live weekend classes conducted directly by regular NIT Raipur faculty.

• Fee Structure: Approximately INR 2,00,000 per year, plus a one-time INR 10,000 registration fee.

• On-Campus Spot Rounds: For the traditional, full-time campus experience, non-GATE students can apply during the institute's physical "Spot Admission" window. 

• The Process: Once the Centralized Counselling for M.Tech (CCMT) completes its national seat-allocation rounds, the institute opens an On-the-Spot Admission Round to fill leftover vacancies.

• Selection Criteria: While GATE-qualified candidates receive initial priority, remaining regular seats are awarded to Non-GATE applicants based on their B.Tech academic merits, followed by a departmental written test and personal interview conducted physically on the Raipur campus.

By bypassing the traditional Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) requirement, the institute aims to bridge the soaring industrial demand for data science professionals and advanced computing experts. 

Eligible candidates can now choose between two distinct learning tracks to advance their tech careers.
