The AcSIR-CSIR-IGIB PhD Program for the August 2026 session is currently accepting online applications. The CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (CSIR-IGIB) in Delhi operates this program. They award degrees to students through the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR).

The application process window is open from 01 March 2026 to 14 April 2026. Applicants can apply through the  CSIR-IGIB PhD Portal using their AAN and fellowship details.

AcSIR-CSIR-IGIB PhD Program 2026: Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

  • Educational Qualification: Master’s degree (M.Sc/M.Tech) in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD).

  • Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as of 14 April 2026 (relaxations apply per Government of India rules).

A valid national-level fellowship, such as CSIR-UGC JRF, DBT-JRF, or ICMR-JRF, is mandatory. GATE is NOT valid for MSc/MTech candidates for this session.

Application Process

  • AcSIR Registration: Register on the AcSIR Online Admission Portal to obtain an AcSIR Application Number (AAN).

  • Institute Selection: Select CSIR-IGIB as one of your preferred institutes.

  • IGIB Application: Complete the secondary application on the CSIR-IGIB PhD Portal using your AAN and fellowship details
