The Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM) is the first management school in India. It was founded in 1953 and situated in Kolkata, West Bengal. And it is associated with the University of Calcutta.

IISWBM provides various programs, such as an MBA (Day), MBA (Evening), MBA in Public Systems, MBA in Human Resource Management (HRM), and Master's in Social Welfare (MSW). These programs concentrate on business administration, social care, and public service.

IISWBM Kolkata Courses

IISWBM Kolkata Eligibility Criteria 

IISWBM Kolkata has specific requirements for applicants to its programs.

The MBA (Day) program requires a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks. Applicants must also submit a valid CAT, MAT, CMAT, or XAT score for admission.

For the MBA (Evening) program students are required to have a graduate degree and some work experience is preferred.

IISWBM Kolkata Fees 

IISWBM MBA program fee depends on many factors. If you want to enrol in a full-time MBA it is about INR 8.3 lakh for two years. The evening MBA program costs around ?6.1 lakh.

The MBA in Public Systems is about INR 5.15 lakh, and the MBA in Human Resource Management is around INR 6.3 lakh. The Master's in Social Welfare is about INR 4 lakh for the two-year program.

And for the executive MBA and certificate programs range from INR 2 lakh to INR 4 lakh. It is based on the duration and for Short certificate programs are between INR 25,000 and INR 1 lakh. 

IISWBM Kolkata Admission Process 

The admission process is based on merit and applicants can apply online through the official IISWBM website. The goal is to select candidates who have a strong academic history, suitable skills, and the ability to grow.

Step 1: Online Application – Applicants should complete the online form and upload required documents, like mark sheets, ID, and entrance exam scores.

Step 2: Entrance Exam Score – Those applying for IISWBM MBA programs must have a valid CAT, MAT, CMAT, or XAT score. The FPM applicants are judged on their academic record and research skills.

Step 3: Shortlisting – Candidates are shortlisted for the next stage based on entrance scores, academic record, and job history.

Step 4: Group Discussion (GD) / Personal Interview (PI) – Shortlisted candidates attend GD and PI sessions to assess communication skills, problem-solving skills, and leadership qualities.

Step 5: Final Selection – The final choice is made based on entrance exam scores, academic record, GD/PI results, and work history. Successful candidates will receive an admission offer.

IISWBM Kolkata Exam 2025 

The IISWBM Exam in 2025 covers programs such as the full-time MBA, evening MBA, MBA in Public Systems, MBA-HRM, FPM, and MSW.

MBA exams begin twice a year in around May–June and November–December. They include tests, case studies, assignments to see what students know and how well they can use their knowledge.

FPM students are graded on their research, projects, and oral exams. Executive MBA and online programs use online tests, assignments, and project grading. Certificate programs have short tests at the end.

IISWBM Kolkata Result 2025 

The 2025 results for IISWBM Kolkata MBA (Day), MBA (Evening), MBA in Public Systems, MBA-HRM, and MSW programs are out. Students can see their scores on the IISWBM website.

To view their results, students must enter their roll number or registration ID to log in. The results show marks, grades, and how they did in the semester.

The MBA programs use a semester-based system with results posted after each exam period. FPM student grades come from research, projects, and viva evaluations. And Executive and certificate programs use online tests, project scores, and a final assessment.

IISWBM Kolkata Placement
