Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) is a public institution of higher education.  It is located in Faridkot, Punjab. The university was founded in 1998 and operates four colleges. These are pharmacy, nursing and dental science.  

It has many affiliated colleges across Punjab. These are Christian Medical College Ludhiana, Dayanand Medical College Ludhiana, Guru Gobind Singh Medical College Faridkot, and Government Medical Colleges in Patiala and Amritsar.  

The university offers courses like MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc. Nursing, B.Pharm, or M.D. And MBBS takes 5.5 years with hands-on training. The BDS runs for 5 years for oral health, and PG options include M.Sc. and M.Pharm, and PhD for research students. 

The university was recognised by the UGC and listed in the World Health Directory of Medical Schools. It indicates that university programs are credible and widely accepted.

BFUHS Courses

BFUHS Admission Process

Step 1: Confirming Eligibility

  • For MBBS and BDS programs, the NEET qualification is needed.

  • For BSc Nursing, applicants need a 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

  • MD, MS, and MSc Nursing programs require a related bachelor's degree.

  • Paramedical and Pharmacy programs require a minimum grade in science subjects.

  • For online/distance programs, graduation or its equivalent is needed.

BFUHS Exam 2025 

The university follows a semester-based exam system for its MBBS, BDS, nursing, and pharmacy programs. The Exam Cell releases the schedules on the university website. 

The 2025 exams will cover regular semesters, internal assessments, practical exams, and supplementary tests. It is offered in both online and offline formats. Students can pay their fees and get the Baba Farid University admit card from the student portal about 10 days before the exams.

The Undergraduate and postgraduate even semester exams (semesters 2, 4, and 6) are scheduled between April 15 and May 10, 2025; 30% of the grade comes from internal assessments. And the Odd semester exams (semesters 1, 3, 5, and 7) are from November 20 to December 15, 2025, following internal assessments in October. 

BFUHS Results 2025

The university posts results for MBBS, BDS, nursing, and pharmacy courses soon after exams end. Students can find their scores on the Exam Cell section of the university website. For 2025, results include regular semesters, supplementary exams, and entrance tests.

The Placement Cell help students in finding jobs that align with their training in fields. The cell helps to prepare students for opportunities at leading hospitals and companies by providing practical support. 

In 2024, BFUHS helped 70% of students find jobs, and the goal for 2025 is 75% via relationships with global health companies, so students can find roles that match their career interests.

BFUHS grads obtain positions at institutions like GGS Medical College, Fortis Hospitals, and Max Healthcare, becoming resident doctors, clinical pharmacists, and nursing supervisors. The Placement Cell organizes events from September to March.
