The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) officially released the highly anticipated UP Special TET 2026 notification (Advt No. 03/2026). This dedicated examination is mandatory for thousands of in-service teachers and candidates aiming to fill roughly 2,500 Special Educator vacancies across Uttar Pradesh.
The official portal to download the brochure and complete the mandatory One-Time Registration (OTR) for the exam is the UPESSC Official Website.

Official Notification Release: September 3, 2026
Online Application Start Date: September 5, 2026
Last Date to Apply Online: October 4, 2026
Application Correction Window: October 8, 2026
Admit Card Release Date: November 1, 2026
UP Special TET Exam Date: November 3, 2026
Candidates must complete their One-Time Registration (OTR) on the official UPESSC web portal before filling out the main application form.
The category-wise qualifying marks for the UP Special TET 2026 are structured as follows:
General Category: Minimum 90 marks (60%) required to pass.
OBC / SC / ST / EWS / PwD / Ex-Servicemen: A minimum of 82 marks (55%) is required to pass.
Eligible candidates can access the comprehensive information brochure, check detailed eligibility criteria, and submit their forms directly at the official portal: upessc.up.gov.in.
Following recent Supreme Court directives, the state government has introduced this special Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) to secure service continuity and promotions. Affected teachers have been granted a compliance window until August 31, 2028, to successfully clear the examination.
